The line-up features keys/flute/sax-wielding Chelsea Skyeater, armed with her dubbed-out honey vocals – and dub soldier TK Bassdread with his artillery of bass, beats, vocals and of course more live dubs. Whilst their often seen in duo form, the ultimate cream-on-top takes form with the addition of a killer international all-femme horn section producing lush layers of Sax, Clarinet, Trumpet and Vocal harmonies.

These lovers of sea and sky have released two EPs, toured extensively throughout Australia and NZ and played at Luminate Festival (NZ), Island Vibe (QLD), Nimbin Roots (NSW), Queenscliff Music Festival (VIC), Woodford Folk Fest (QLD) and more. 2022 sees them launching into full overdrive again with the release of a new album, another one in the works, Island Vibe Festival and a run of shows in QLD and NSW to kick off summer, and the UK Summer festival season on their horizon.

Now imagine, that these two bands called BULLHORN  & HOT POTATO will play the audience with intoxicating grooves and huge rumbling sounds around as they descend into a world of rich sonic textures created live, acoustic and real.

Hot Potato Band’s larger-than-life brass collective is a breath of fresh air, setting a new bar for energetic and interactive musical performances. Finding home in Sydney, Australia, their positive coastal energy pushes euphoric boundaries in their bold quest to reignite acoustic instrumentation. The bands 10 year street performing history and unique sound is built on the backs of three drummers, a sousaphone and five horns that cover catchy chorus lines, providing a beautiful harmonic cloud for Ben (vocalist) to float above. HPB is un-bound by genres, stages and audiences. They are re-inventive of the traditional street brass band as a modern day dance machine and visual spectacle for all demographics with a strong sense of pride for their fun-loving, organic, and quirky musical nature.

There’s an old saying, popularised by The Breakfast Club: “you mess with the bull, you get the horns”. What does it mean? Not much really. Mostly that if you do something dangerous, you might get hurt. One dangerous thing you could do would be to miss the crazy, brass based, MC led explosion that is BULLHORN. Formed in 2011, these party animals combine virtuosic musicianship, crazy arrangements, catchy grooves and upbeat rhythms to whip the audience into a veritable frenzy. As adept at creating original tunes as they are at reimagining the likes of Bonobo and Easy Star All Stars, this nine piece behemoth is hell-bent on good times.

Since being established in 2011 BULLHORN have released two albums; Their debut self titled album (2012) and the new ‘Players/Sounds’ album (2014). They’ve also toured throughout Australia performing at many venues and festivals including Woodford Folk Fest (2016), Queenscliff Fest (2016), Port Fairy Festival (2016), The Gum Ball Festival (2016), Vivid Festival (2016), Fairbridge Festival (2016), Earth Frequency Festival (2016), Australasian World Music Expo (2014), The Falls Music & Arts Fest (2014 & 2015), Caloundra Music Fest (2014 & 2016), Mullumimby Music Fest (2014 & 2015), End Of The Line Fest, Happy Daze Festival, Collaborations Festival,  Island Vibe, Noosa Jazz Fest, Kuranda Roots, Bleach Fest, Easterfest, Redcliffe Fest, Home Fest, Caxton Fest and many many others.
