Mark grew up locally and started playing guitar at the age of 11. He quickly outgrew his neighborhood teacher and began lessons at the Lismore Conservatorium.

At 16 Mark was accepted to study guitar at Southern Cross University in Lismore with Jim Kelly while continuing to complete his year 11 and 12 schoolings. In 2006 Mark was selected to perform at the Sydney Opera House for ‘ENCORE’, which is a presentation of the top HSC music performances in NSW.

Mark continued his Music studies at Southern Cross University gaining a Bachelor of Contemporary Music.

Mark has lived and worked as a musician in Melbourne and Glasgow (UK). For 2 years Mark worked as a guitar player on cruise ships sailing from Texas and Florida in the US. He played in the production showband in the orchestra pit, as well as in the rock band.

Most recently Mark has become a member of the Lisa Hunt Forever Soul Band while also playing in other local groups periodically
