Ascot Road Studios
Providing affordable, proffessional-grade recording options for local musicians
As part of our approach to developing a ‘catch all’ music hub, we’ve partnered with Rockbox Studios founder Shea Roberts to offer Ascot Road Studios - the brief: Provide affordable recording options for local musicians as a pathway to further opportunities.
What does that mean in practice? Well, we’ve designed the whole of Resonator Music to be one big recording studio - you can be recording a clean vocal in our soundproof booth next to the control room, while a live band tracks downstairs in the main performance space, and your guitar amps are isolated in one of our teaching rooms upstairs... all connected via state of the art digital audio networks using Allen & Heath, Dante, and Universal Audio hardware.
We’ve built our packages around affordability, with options from 3 hours to full days costing between $300-600 including an engineer and our top notch gear.
Is it the same as recording in a million dollar studio? No, and we don’t try to be that, but we can be your step towards it - we partner with professional studios around the area to give you a pathway into those facilities, and access world class engineers and producers through our partner network.
We offer demo recordings, live performance recording (along with video capture options for your content creation) in our very own venue downstairs, "The Showroom”, preproduction to prepare for your next ‘big’ studio recording and more.
The control room includes the use of a range of high end hardware synths from Udo, Nord, Kurzweil, Synthstrom and more, while on the software front you have access to comprehensive packages from Universal Audio (including a huge suite of plug ins and the award winning Apollo interface to boost performance), SSL, Waves, and more.
Producers, you can even book the studio for mix sessions with many professional DAWs available including ProTools, Logic, Ableton Live, Luna, Reaper and more.
Video is handled via the industry standard Davinci Resolve.
An added bonus with our studio for budding recording artists - we have a roster of professional musicians available to record, in house! Our teaching staff is packed with seasoned professionals, offering a range of instruments, stylistic specialties, and many years of experience as professional musicians, and are available to book in on an hourly basis for your sessions! Need a killer vocal to go with your Ableton track? Guitar, drums, keys or horns to add something special to your singer songwriter project? Have an idea of what you want your song to sound like, but don’t have the musicians to bring it to life? We can make it happen, right here, and on very reasonable budgets.
