Experience
Jessica Johnson is a young, enthusiastic, well-connected female tutor who will inspire your child to excel at their instrument, find their voice and most importantly love and enjoy music. Jessica has been a musician, songwriter and performer for over 10 years with earliest memories of writing songs and singing at age 8. In high school Jessica would mentor her peers in music being involved in soul band, musicals, choirs and co-ordinating her own concerts as young as 15.
Now at 22 she is a full-time artist with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music mid-way through her Masters of Education but has taken a gap year to record her second EP. From performing at festivals like Bluesfest Byron Bay and Nimbin Roots and renowned venues in Brisbane to creating her own events such as Bush Fire Fundraisers, Song Circle Series and local lineups in the Northern Rivers; Jessica contributes her time to creating opportunities for herself and the broader community in a hope to bring people together through music. As a tutor Jessica specialises in guitar, voice, piano, ukulele and songwriting/composition.
She has been teaching up to 50 students individually and in groups at Evans River Community School K-12 in these areas for over a year. Jessica also teaches the Evans Head community ukulele club with up to 15 adults fortnightly whilst managing her own flourishing music career.
